Description

CaptainSpec, a rapidly growing custom software development company, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Representative to drive our growth in the United States market through a fully remote position. This role is suited for a proactive and strategic thinker with a solid background in B2B sales, particularly in the technology, software development, or IT services industries. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, pursuing, and closing new business opportunities across various industries, managing the entire sales lifecycle from lead generation and outreach to negotiation and contract closure. You will be expected to engage with prospects through multiple channels—email, LinkedIn, virtual meetings, and calls—while clearly articulating CaptainSpec’s unique capabilities in delivering scalable, high-quality software solutions tailored to client needs. In this role, it is essential to have a strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, including the ability to communicate technical concepts in a way that resonates with decision-makers who may not have a technical background. Experience selling into the US market is required, as is the ability to work independently, manage your pipeline effectively, and maintain excellent client relationships. Familiarity with CRMs such as HubSpot or Salesforce, along with a data-driven mindset, will be key to tracking performance and identifying new areas of opportunity. Ideally, you’ll bring with you a strong network of potential leads or partners, previous experience working with offshore or nearshore teams, and a general understanding of how custom development projects are scoped and priced.
